(15) A sound collage of references, tributes, and parodies
of Bob Dylan, featuring the voices and performances of
Oliver Stone, David Bowie, Garry Shandling, Tom Petty,
Shelly Duvall, Woody Allen, Christopher Guest, John
Lennon, Frank Zappa, Adrian Belew, and Neil Innes. This
is reportedly only an excerpt from a longer piece...
This is a real CD, not a CD-R, although the packaging looks
rather homemade. The inserts are one-sided color laser or
inkjet prints. The front insert is poorly trimmed to about
23.8 cm square, and folded twice. It opens up like a four
page folded insert. The cover front quarter has a disgusting
pink background. The inside is a cut-and-paste from some
scans of Rolling Stone magazine. The jewelcase insert is
also an iridescent pink. The plastic jewelcase is clear
blue.
The sound quality, however, is excellent. The 'World of
John Hammond' tracks (3-5) are reportedly in better fidelity
than on Songs For Patty Valentine [T-320].
This CD is available [only?] from a member of The Bob Dylan
Discussion List who has been frequently rolling the drums
for it.

> A friend of mine just came back from a trip and gave me a few
>copies of a brand new Bob CD boot entitled The Genuine Hard To Find Vol. 2.
>This is apparently a play on the 'Hard To Find' series being that this disc
>much like the already-existing hard to find has the It Ain't Me Babe(R & C
>EP), Letterman '83 appearance, & the Sinatra 80th deal "Restless Farewell",
>but it's highlight is the best sounding World Of John Hammond TV appearance
>- "Hurricane", "Oh Sister" and "Simple Twist Of Fate" - I've ever heard.
>That plus the '79 Grammys and Saturday Night Live deal too! This Cd is
>seriously an improvement to the Hard To Find Vol. 2 that circulates with
>it's questionable choice of '80's Dylan.
