All Hallows Eve sounds great, but isn't complete. They've cut some
intros and some of Bob's talk.

Why did they do that, do you think? They had plenty of space left on
CD2, and added filler. Maybe the improved source tape had been edited?
I've heard the vinyl boots Halloween Mask 1 & 2 -- All Hallows Eve &
More is much better quality (not a copy therefore).

The best release of this concert is on "It's Alright". There's more hiss on
it than on other releases, but better sound and correct speed.
All Hallows Eve is slightly fast, has excellent sound (if a little harsher
than It's Alright) and no hiss.
Mr T 1+2 are a mite faster, still with exellent sound and only a little
hiss. This has also been released on Document, Bulldog and Black Panther,
together with the Newport 65 performance.
Halloween Mask is much too fast and has indifferent sound.
It's Alright was a Japanese release which is now very hard to find, so All
Hallows Eve would be the best one to get (unless you can find the
Document/Bulldog/Black P CDs, which are excellent).

I recommend "It's Alright," a Japanese double cd of the famous Halloween
show. The speed seems correct, the show is complete, and the sound is
very, very good indeed.

Wow! I had a terrible tape of this concert and loved it, upgraded to the
LP Boot 'Halloween Masque' and loved it even more, and now I hear even
this is only average. Anyone know which is the definitive CD Boot of
this remarkable show?
Regards,
Ken Cowley.

I have the CD "Live in New York-64" and I love it. The only problem is
that it omits the songs with Joan Baez. I'd be happy to dub it for you, if
you'd like to hear it. Contact me through private email.

Unfortuneately, it's on the oruiginal source. So no Cd of the Halloween Concert,
1964 contains the full version.
