Minnesota Hotel Tape, 22 December 1961, Bonnie Beecher's apartment,
Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A.
The tracks marked with a * are reported by owners of this CD to
be missing on the CD, but included in the track list by others,
who probably don't own the CD and hence could be mistaken.
Crazy Joe rates this CD 5 on a 0 to 5 scale.
This CD contains the Minnesota Hotel Tape, complete or almost
complete, depending on whether the two tracks marked with a * in the
track list above are on it or not. Of these two tracks, "Hard Times
In New York Town" is on the official CD set "The Bootleg Series
Volumes 1-3". The complete Minnesota Hotel Tape is definitely on
the CD set "The Minnesota Tapes". Juha S. has written that the
sound quality of this CD is excellent. I (Lonesome Sparrow) have
only heard "The Minnesota Tapes" and I could be persuaded to regard
the sound quality of this material on that set as excellent, since
one can't expect it to be much better taking in account how these
recordings were made. Alan Fraser has written that the
sound quality of this material on this CD and "The Minnesota Tapes"
seems to be about the same.
